Bambus Team

BambusTeam specializes in implementing Deliverable Compliance Units (DCU), which are an evolution of the traditional Project Management Office (PMO). In addition to fulfilling the same role as a PMO, using its tools, concepts, and methods, the DCU places special emphasis on the relationships between individuals who have direct and indirect responsibility, co-responsibility, and influence in achieving the committed results of the deliverables.

This concept is considered relevant within the Deliverology methodology, where emphasis is placed on the strong role of the Deliverology Unit as a driver of proactivity, attention to detail, communication language, and, as the name suggests, in preventing and alerting about the status of conditions. This ensures that each responsible party (Manager, Project Leader, or Team Leader) delivers on time and as agreed in the definition of their deliverables. We utilize the OKRs methodology, used by companies like Intel, Google, Amazon, and Apple, but adapted to the Latin American idiosyncrasy. The stages of the CMI process are presented, detailing the Strategic Alignment phase, which follows the definition of Strategic Purposes.

In the last two decades, the ICT sector has evolved towards a more flexible and agile direction, promoting human talent in achieving results, regardless of the position and roles held by the responsible party (manager, project leader, or team leader) within the organization, and implementing a recognition system for achieving results, which:

  • is aligned with the development and retention of those talents, emphasizing the understanding of their personal interests and expectations, and managing their performance based on competencies.
  • motivates those talents to innovate by taking actions outside of their respective comfort zones, in a prudent manner, always assessing that the effects remain within the scope and management of the company.
  • the company remains attentive in real time to assist the responsible party in exercising their free and responsible actions, ensuring that the path they develop aligns with the defined corporate purposes to be achieved.

Recognition systems must be adjusted as the company evolves and transforms its structure, management approach, and the training of its managerial staff, project leaders, and teams. In an increasingly competitive market, regarding recognition, remuneration, and talent retention, these responsible individuals should be the ones generating a differential in the company's management.

Therefore, it is advisable to recognize talent development and retention in the following three competencies: Customer Orientation, Results Orientation, and Leadership Ability. Special emphasis should be placed on the definition, fulfillment, tracking, and evaluation of deliverables aligned with the company's purposes, which have been previously approved for execution and subsequently fulfilled by each responsible individual.

The key results to be achieved in the consultancy would be:

  • promotion of innovation, deliverable development, and their implementation, through the role of the Responsible party, by means of the Deliverable Management Method, to strengthen the company's Governance, with special attention to the Strategic Alignment of approved deliverables to be fulfilled. This method emphasizes and focuses on the achievement of deliverables, incorporating and combining best practices from several widely used methodologies, such as: Balanced Scorecard (BSC), Deliverology, OKRs, Agile Methodology, Negotiation, Neural Networks, and Competency-Based Performance Management.
  • formation of an internal team, the Deliverable Compliance Unit (DCU), whose purpose is to support, assist, and manage the Responsible parties regarding the aforementioned Deliverable Management Method. The DCU is structured as an informal entity, providing it with an agile and flexible component, and it reports directly to General Management.
  • formation of an internal team of Facilitators, assisted by the DCU, whose objective is to promote and train the Responsible parties in the proper application of the method across its stages: definition, fulfillment, tracking, and evaluation of the deliverables from the departments assigned by the General Manager.

BambusTeam advises organizations on the implementation of the Deliverable Management Method and also provides the service of ensuring compliance with internal DCUs through the Deliverability Assurance Unit (DAU).
